Our mission is to deliver a modern eco-luxury escape in a magical Australian bush and waterfront setting, to a discerning clientele seeking a unique and memorable experience, not just a room to check into.

Calabash Bay Lodge was born in our imaginations in 2007, somewhere between a cottage in the Dordogne region in south-west France, a geranium-clad villa terrace in Positano on Italy’s Amalfi coast, the Western Ghat highlands of Kerala, India, and a summer spent sailing the island dotted coastline of Croatia. Inspired by these locations, and a desire to unlock the secret beauty and rejuvenating qualities of another magical spot they knew closer to home, we opened Calabash Bay Lodge in 2008.

Our Berowra Waters retreat has been privately-run ever since with a guest services team of industry professionals who mostly reside locally on the riverfront, resulting in truly bespoke service with a personal, warm and caring approach. We are dedicated to ensuring you experience the ultimate in relaxation and enjoyment.

Our guests choose Calabash Bay Lodge for many reasons, often to celebrate milestones such as honeymoons, anniversaries, or birthdays, to reunite with family, for rest and recovery, to spoil a lover, or just to spend time with friends.
